As we approach the 2022 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, members of the major opposition party in Ekiti state (PDP) has shown there readiness to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in order to enjoy more dividend of democracy in their various locality.
No fewer than twenty (20) strong members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Otun ward 2 of Moba Local Government today decamped to the All Progressives Congress.
The Moba Local Government Chairman Hon. Bayo Aborisade BOYOO while receiving the decampee to APC fold welcome them along side the party exco.
Hon. Aborisade who spoke at the event lauded Hon. Ibrahim Olanrewaju, Member House of Representatives (Moba, Ilejemeje and Ido/Osi) for his good performance in his Ward, Local Government and Constituency.
To be unbiased, Hon. Ibrahim has really done well and this is commendable because with his good impact in his constituent, this has been the major reason why the decampee are joining the APC Aborisade said.
The council boss also thanked the Governor of Ekiti State Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for giving Ekiti Federal constituency 2 a worthy person like Hon. Ibrahim. He also appealed to the decampee to work in Unity and to support the next level Agenda of the governor.
While speaking at the party Secretariat in Otun Ekiti, the local government party chairman Hon. Adeyeye lauded the decampee for taking a bold step in joining the APC. All Progressives Congress is a big family without faction, I hereby urged you to work with party leaders in order to achieve a set goal, Adeyeye added.
Chief Ayelomo the APC state Treasurer who also spoke at the event charged the decampee to work as a team. No version, no division, APC in Moba Local is one big family Ayelomo added.
Hon. Gbenga Oguntola Oyoko who is one of the decampee thanked the Local Government Chairman, Party Chairman and other members present. Oyoko disclosed that the major reason they are decamping to the APC today is because of the positive impacts their community benefited in this present government.
